 Deep Purple DEEP PURPLE was formed in Hertford, England, in 1968, with an inaugural
lineup that featured guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, vocalist Rod Evans,
bassist Nick Simper, keyboardist Jon Lord, and drummer Ian Paice. The
group replaced the vocalist with Ian Gillan and bassist Roger Glover in
1969.
By placing DEEP PURPLE in Progarchives, only the recorded material
between 1969 - 1971 applies (in my opinion). The albums "The Book of
